Robert Pattinson ha hecho unas declaraciones sobre su vida más personal:

'I was a bit of a loner at school, quite anti-social. My first kiss was when I was 12, but I didn't have a girlfriend until I was 18.'

'If somebody asks me out on a date, I go out with them! But I never get asked. And I never know how to ask other people. I'm not good at the whole 'dinner' thing. I'm boring. I stay home, watch TV and eat a lot of fast food. That's really exciting, isn't it?'

'Music is my backup plan if acting fails. I don't want to put all my eggs in one basket." Two of his recorded song are on the Twilight soundtrack to the hit vampire movie, but he insists he wasn't trying to 'cash in' by launching a music career after:

'That's what I was scared about, it looks like I'm trying to get a music career out of it or something. I'm not going to be doing any music videos or anything.'
